The Pearson's Promise Story

Two years ago, a mother developed what she believed was a breakthrough in the treatment of Keratosis Pilaris.

She and other family members had suffered from KP their whole lives. However, it wasn’t until her son developed a bad case of KP at the age of one, that she sought treatment for him. She tried several over-the counter creams as well as several creams prescribed by both his pediatrician and his dermatologist. None worked. When the last prescription was applied to his skin, he cried because it burned him. At that point he was three years old and his KP was showing no signs of improvement.

When he began pre-school at the age of 2 & ½, she received a call from the school nurse saying that he had a bad rash and had to seek treatment. The same thing happened when he entered a different school when he turned 3. Both nurses had never heard of Keratosis Pilaris and wanted to make sure that it wasn’t contagious! Saddened, she thought to herself, "He’s only 3 years old. Will other kids make fun of him when he gets older?"
She then promised him that she would find a safe, non-irritating, non-prescription treatment that worked well.

After researching the disorder to learn everything she could about the cause, she began applying different natural ingredients to find out what worked and what did not. Through much trial and error, what she found was truly amazing! The over-the-counter and prescription creams available contained alcohol, petroleum jelly, mineral oil, beeswax, and lanolin - all ingredients that dry the skin or clog the pores. No wonder they didn’t work! But, what did work was a carefully selected combination of natural ingredients that both hydrated the skin and unblocked the pores.

Out of a promise made to her son, she developed Pearson’s Promise to help children and adults suffering from KP.
